Geographical location
Busan is bordered by the sea to the east and south. To the west, it is adjacent to Jangyu-dong in Gimhae City and Jinhae-gu in Changwon City. To the north, it borders Moolgeum-eup in Yangsan City and Daedong-myeon in Gimhae City. To the east, it is adjacent to Seosaeng-myeon and Onyang-eup in Ulsan Metropolitan City.
Busan, located at the southeastern tip of South Korea, serves as the gateway to the country. It is approximately 450km southeast of Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. It is also situated along the Korea Strait, with a distance of approximately 250km from Shimono-seki, Japan.
